New ERP System Goes Live
On the 7th of September, after over six months of planning, testing, training and tweaking; Swancote Foods became the second Greenvale site to “Go Live” with a new ERP system, Navison2013. A Microsoft solution, Navision13 was chosen by Greenvale for being one of the most flexible ERP solutions on the market.
Used by over 100,000 business, Navision13 incorporates functions based on many industry best practises and is designed to work for a variety of businesses and processes. Navision13 will continue to be rolled out across all Greenvale sites, replacing the existing ERP system, as part of Greenvale’s IT strategic aims to enhance the IT platform and support business growth. The end result will see all sites running on standardised and resilient business processes which meet the demands of the evolving nature of the market in which Greenvale operates.
Greenvale have partnered up with specialist consultants, QuantiQ, to ensure the implementation of the new ERP system meets the needs of the business and is flexible for future requirements.
This has been a massive project for the team at Swancote but has resulted in most of the business activities now being managed through the system. It has enabled Swancote to review the way it works as a whole and challenged all colleagues and processes on how best to improve the current methods. One of the clear advantages of the system is a much more integrated end-to-end process and a more robust, less fragmented, more accessible and live traceability system for the site.
It has been a long 6 months but the hard work is definitely starting to pay off now.
